Since April 2004 Annabel has begun a project with die 'Offene Stadt'- Freiburg. She has been working with residents of Alt-Haslach in the old school house (which has recently been renovated). The aim of the project is to create a group textile collage using techniques such as appliqué, embroidery, patchwork, printing, copying, photography, stencilling, hand and machine sewing. The finished piece would be displayed in the School House, a venue which will be utilised in the future for community events.

Annabel creates a relaxed and open atmosphere in her workshop sessions. Since April participants have learned about different fabrics, colour theory and sourcing inspiration. They have learned several new techniques and have had the experience of experimenting with a range of materials and fabrics supplied by Annabel.
