MEMORY ON FABRIC WORKSHOP

Let Annabel show you how to design a fabric album or wall hanging incorporating particular images and fragments of your life – for example children, marriage, career, pets, holidays…..

The end product will be a treasured heirloom to hand down through the generations and is also an unique gift idea for family & friends to celebrate births, birthdays, weddings & anniversaries.

Embark on a trip down memory lane…dig out those old photos of yourself, your parents/grandparents as children or photographs of your kids today. Whatever you decide to choose Annabel will show you with no damage what so ever to the original photograph how you can transfer the image onto fabric.

You will experience the entire process of sourcing inspiration for your `memory on fabric` creation, selecting colours & fabrics, transferring images (photographs, birth certificates, awards etc) onto fabric. Decoration with accessories, trimmings, beads as well as stencilling, stamping & painting directly onto fabric will be demonstrated.

Also includes sewing techniques such as patchwork, appliqué & collage.

Annabel will guide you step by step how to complete the processing of this piece showing you the different possibilities available to combine beautiful fabrics & your own images in a fun & innovative way.

Annabel invites you and your friends to come to her studio for private tutoring. This workshop needs a minimum of 4 sessions of 2- 3 hours, or an intensive weekend to complete. Suitable for all levels.

Annabel is also happy to tutor organised Textile groups and also to travel to other locations to facilitate workshops.
