10th CARREFOUR PATCHWORK MEETING

September 16th - 19th, 2004 in Alsace, France
The 10th European Carrefour Patchwork Meeting was held in Alsace, just over an hour drive across the French border from Freiburg. The exhibition, aimed at promoting the textile arts with emphasis on Art Quilts.
Contemporary and traditional works from five continents were displayed in this fascinating exhibition. There was a presentation by the French Association of Mennonite History of the Amish movement including genuine Amish quilts, in addition to work produced by members of France Patchwork.
More than 700 pieces of textile art were displayed in 14 different venues in the four villages of Ste-Marie-aux-Mines, Ste-Croix-aux-Mines, Rombach-le-Franc and Liepvre.
Creative work from textile artist Annabel Pattullo was exhibited in Nr. 11 Verriere (My Work) at Ste-Croix-aux-Mines.
